Dr Salim Saay is an associate professor at the University of Limerick, where he is also affiliated with Lero – the SFI Research Centre for Software. Salim has worked as an Associate Professor at Kabul University and as a Lecturer at the Technological University of Shannon (TUS). He has also worked in government and various industries, including as Director of IT and Manager of AfgREN-Afghanistan Research and Education Network at the Ministry of Higher Education, NATO, and UNDP.
Salim’s research interests include software architecture, software development, birding application and network gaps, and organisational collaboration by integrating Broker applications, Blockchain and AI. He has secured international funding for his studies and research and currently working on three research projects that concentrate on E-learning and Open Education.
