Dr Yuwen Xu is a SyMeCo postdoctoral fellow with Lero@UoG and is undertaking her fellowship under the supervision of Prof Kathryn Cormican.

Yuwen holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Hefei University of Technology, China. Her research interests are Innovation Management, Technological Innovation and Data Science.

Yuwen’s SyMeCo research project, titled “Responsible Innovation in Software Engineering”, is highly interdisciplinary, integrating expertise from software engineering, innovation management, data science, and econometrics. The project focuses on promoting responsible innovation in software engineering and aims to develop a comprehensive assessment framework for responsible innovation capabilities. It seeks to identify key influencing factors, quantify their impact, and systematically explore pathways for enhancing responsible innovation under different conditions.

Project impact – The project aims to provide a scientific framework for evaluating responsible innovation, assist businesses in refining their innovation strategies, and inform policymakers on effective regulatory measures.
