Dr. Attracta Brennan is a lecturer in the School of Computer Science at the University of Galway.
Her research interests span a number of areas, including: multi morbidity prediction, adaptive learning systems, game based learning, socio-technical systems to support older people, AR/VR and medical informatics.
She is involved in a number of health analytics projects investigating the application of AI for Osteoporosis and multi-morbidity prediction. She is also co-supervisor on a number of PhDs in the areas of:
– Evaluating the impact of adaptable digital maths games for students with Maths Anxiety
– Maintaining flow in a VR/AR Environment
– A multi-user VR recreational space for people with dementia
– A multi-user VR social connecting space to reduce loneliness and promote quality of life in people with dementia
– The use of AR exergames to reduce the risk of falls and promote engagement for people with Osteoporosis
